-Fear-
Fear is an emotion that is hard to understand, and is hard to control. It is a driving emotion; meaning that this emotion can influence us to either go one way or another/ do something or forget about it. For example, a common fear for people is spiders. When some one with that fear of spiders. (Arachnaphobia) they will either run from it and avoid it as much as possible, or scream and get away from it. Sometimes its involuntary, it is as if it's a reflex. I say this because I hate spiders and when ever I see one I almost instinctively move back and away from it, and I tend to (if it is on the ground) go onto something off the ground and watch it making sure it doesnt follow or jump etc. Fear influences humans to do many things from heoric, all the way down to revolting.
Fear has actually been a cause of death for many in the world, whether it be those who were fearing, or those who feared. Examples are people who tense up and freeze when they are scared. I don't know the facts but I would assume that that type of fear has caused many injurys and deaths. Fear would most likely atomatically enable the fight or flight mode response ( depending on the case). Like when I get up on something high to get away fro ma spider, I am flight-ing away from what my body and mind has presumed to be a threat.
Fear can also cause heoric actions in some special cases. I do not have exact examples unfortunately, but if you think about it. It is highly possible that within the grip of fear someone can overcome such fear and tackle the obsticale head on. Or maybe they can loose themselves and succumb to fear, by this I mean when someone in overwhelmin fear they would become dangerous or hazardous to ones surroundings and start attacking anything and everything in sight.
Fear is hard to understand because, what causes it? Does are body know something we don't and that's why we begin feeling anxious and worried? We cannot answer that, though one thing we can answer is that our fear cannot be avoided. Everyone does fear something, but why the fear it is complicated. Sometimes it can be answered, but usaully it cant. A common fact though of human beings is that, We typically fear the unknown. That's just basic, and if you don't believe it then think about this. have you ever feared the dark and places you've never been? You don't know what they have in store for you, meaning you fear the unknown.
