Patrick Rothfuss — 'There are three things all wise men fear: the sea in storm, a night with no moon, and the anger of a gentle man.'
I think that this quote is highly agreeable because if you think about it, a good man is always thinking about something like everyone else. However, when in rage most people will act blindly in rage and do things they normally wouldn't do while conscious. So typically a person who is a jerk just thinks and acts without thinking to far ahead for whatever reason. What if that person is always angry? What do they think of? This is dangerous to but also may lead them to not thinking so much ahead as just thinking what to do next. But I think a good person thinks about being mad, because a truly good man does not do much when angry or even may not get angry easily.
So when a good person thinks about being mad, they plan, and there is nothing more dangerous than a person who has a plan set. So when that good person goes to war ( or gets mad and acts on it) and they decide to go forward with their plan, there are going to be catastrophes. People who are normally not afraid of much or those who possibly even saw this good man as weak would tremble because that man is now enacting his wrath that has been building up for days, months, or even years. The more time a person has to plan, the more time they had to think of the possibilities that could happen, so they could make sure their plan is as bullet proof as possible.
Though am I promoting violence? No, I am not promoting any such thing. I am merely stating that everyone has a breaking point, and the people who have held back their anger for longer and are wiser than most, will have a much more terrifying break than those who break easily.
Our greatest power ever given to us is our intelligence and the ability to expand it. Though there is a very big difference in one's intelligence, and then how wise they are. Wise is speaking from experience and first hand experience, along with instinctive actions and thoughts. So, to be truly wise man, it may require you be old just so you have experienced many things, but you don't have to be old. If you experience a lifetime's worth of events in a few years, One. Bravo to you. Second. Pass on your wisdom and let others learn from it. Let them know that all people have a breaking point, and the one's who break in the most viscous ways. Are the ones who are the quietest about it.
