And more section, Third edition. (Pride) O1

-And more section-
-Pride-

One of the seven deadly sins that all humans have most likely had a problem with in one point of time in their life is Pride. Pride is a very slick and cunning emotion, when it is pressured by other emotions or other actions. It causes trouble when pressured by anger/rage or by insults to materialistic or personal objects or people; while at the same time it can be pressured in a good way by the same exact objects and people. The only way to conquer pride is to try and avoid it.

Pride is the emotion that gets us into trouble, one way or another no matter what. For example, have you ever had someone insult something you've worked really hard on and you got angry at them? Why? Because you were prideful of that work and when you were insult, anger fused with pride and made you act the way you did. You may even feel bad at the end of what you did, and you may even wonder why you did that but, you may never think that it was pride that forced you too; you may have thought it was probably anger.

Does Pride have a positive? This is hard to tell, to be honest. Yes, when you finish a work, or you accomplish something amazing either with people or by yourself, you feel prideful about it that you did that. Yet, what does that do for you? You just feel happy and proud you did that, and then after that you reminisce about it and get prideful; never really getting anything from the emotion but the possibility to get angry at someone who insults you.

Pride is an emotion no one can truly conquer. It is slick, cunning, and even vicious when it sides with its friend anger. It can topple empires and ruin people, by simply changing how they think by a tiny bit; and then plunging you into a state in which you could be too cocky. That is when you make mistakes, and that is when pride shows its true power of destruction and manipulation.
